Fire Extinguisher/Cylinder Technician

  • Since this is a unique segment of our industry, experience is not necessary. We are willing to train the right person but must have a good work ethic and be willing to learn
  • Prepping, de-valving, testing, re-valving and filling Co2 cylinders
  • Be able to use standard hand tools
  • Basic computer and software skills
  • Ability to work independently or with little to no supervision
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written to superiors, subordinates, and customers
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver license, with acceptable driving record
  • Be able to pass a background check

Physical Requirements:

  • This position will require the following: Sitting, standing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping for prolonged period
  • Must be able to safely lift, transport and place objects up to 70 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors

State Fire is currently looking to hire a Fire Extinguisher/Cylinder Technician to work in our Cylinder Hydrotesting facility in Salt Lake City, UT.

$17 - $19 per hour
