About the Role
As a Fire Suppression Technician, you’ll install, inspect, and service fire suppression systems, primarily for heavy equipment and mining operations. This position is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude who takes pride in quality work and values safety.
Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated and dependable candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and service dry chemical, clean agent, and special hazard fire suppression systems
- Inspect and replace tanks, cartridges, hoses, nozzles, detection loops, and control unit batteries
- Perform semi-annual and annual system maintenance and testing
- Conduct electronic and manual actuator tests to verify functionality
- Complete detailed inspection logs and update system records accurately
- Travel regionally, with occasional overnight stays (up to a week at a time)
- Communicate with site planners and use mobile field service applications for reporting
