Special Hazards System Recharge & Repair
A discharged suppression system leaves your facility exposed from the moment the agent clears the nozzles. State Fire restores protection quickly — with certified recharge service, post-discharge inspection, component replacement, and full compliance documentation across every major suppression technology and manufacturer.
Recharge Services We Provide
State Fire performs cylinder recharge, agent replenishment, and post-discharge service for all major special hazards suppression systems — to NFPA standards, manufacturer guidelines, and AHJ requirements. We use only approved agents and OEM-specified components. No substitutions.
Clean Agent System Recharge
We recharge clean agent cylinders for FM-200 (HFC-227ea), Novec 1230, ECARO-25, Halon 1301 and inert gas systems including IG-55, IG-541, IG-100 and more. Service includes cylinder inspection, agent quantity verification, valve testing, and reassembly to manufacturer specification.
CO2 System Recharge
CO2 high-pressure and low-pressure systems require precise agent quantity restoration and thorough post-discharge inspection before return to service. Our technicians verify cylinder weights, inspect discharge piping and nozzles, test actuation components, and document all findings.
Foam System Recharge
Foam concentrate replenishment. Service includes concentrate sampling and replacement, proportioner inspection, and system functional verification.
Dry Chemical System Recharge
Dry chemical recharge for ABC, BC, and Purple-K systems. Includes agent replenishment, cylinder hydrostatic status verification, expellant gas cartridge or cylinder replacement, and valve and discharge hose inspection.
Water Mist System Recharge
Storage cylinder recharge, nitrogen replenishment, and nozzle inspection for high-pressure and low-pressure water mist systems following discharge or maintenance-required service.
Post-Discharge Inspection and Repair
A system discharge — whether triggered by a real fire event, accidental activation, or maintenance error — requires a thorough post-discharge inspection before the system is returned to service. Recharging cylinders without inspecting the full system is a compliance gap and a liability.
State Fire's post-discharge process covers:
- Discharge investigation to identify cause and confirm the system performed as designed
- Nozzle, piping, and fitting inspection for damage or blockage
- Detection device inspection and replacement where required
- Control panel reset, fault clearance, and functional test
- Actuation component inspection and replacement
- Component-level deficiency correction
- Documentation of findings, corrective actions, and restored system status
Every post-discharge report is formatted for AHJ submission, insurance carrier requirements, and internal compliance records.
What's Included With Every Recharge
- Cylinder recharge with approved, manufacturer-specified agent
- Cylinder hydrostatic status review and replacement coordination if due
- Valve inspection and reassembly
- Pressure verification and leak check
- Agent quantity documentation
- Compliance paperwork for AHJ and insurance
Why Recharge Turnaround Time Matters
An unprotected suppression zone is an open liability. Every hour between discharge and restoration is an hour your facility, equipment, or operations are running without automatic fire suppression coverage. Depending on your occupancy and insurer, an impaired system may also trigger required notification to your insurance carrier or AHJ.
State Fire prioritizes recharge calls to minimize the window your system is out of service — with emergency response available around the clock.
Compliance Documentation for AHJ and Insurance
Recharge and post-discharge service generates documentation requirements that go beyond simply refilling cylinders. State Fire provides:
- Written post-discharge inspection report
- Agent recharge certificate with quantity and agent type
- Component replacement records
- Deficiency correction log
- Restored system status confirmation
This documentation package satisfies AHJ inspection records, insurance carrier impairment reporting, and corporate compliance program requirements in a single service visit.
Emergency Service and System Reset
System trouble, accidental discharge, or an activation outside business hours — State Fire provides 24/7 emergency response for special hazards systems. We dispatch certified technicians for post-discharge service, system reset, panel fault clearance, and any deficiency corrections needed to return your system to a ready state.
