What We’re Looking For:

  • Certifications: NICET Level 1 or higher preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years in the low-voltage field required, fire alarm specific preferred.

 Skills:

  • Blueprint reading and job documentation proficiency.
  • Installation, programming, testing, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of various fire alarm system brands and components.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in hand tools and trade-specific equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Comfortable working at heights and in tight spaces.
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Your Role:
We’re seeking skilled Fire Alarm Technicians to lead and support low-voltage construction projects and service calls. As a technician at State Fire, you’ll manage critical tasks, maintain safety, and ensure project excellence in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas.

What You’ll Do:

  • Complete daily safety documentation: risk assessments, vehicle inspections, and job site safety checks.
  • Handle maintenance and emergency service calls efficiently.
  • Travel as needed to meet project demands.
  • Install and service fire alarms, clean agent systems, and other safety equipment.
  • Lead teams, including subcontractors, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, project managers, and property managers.
  • Coordinate schedules, materials, and labor with vendors and the office team.
