Job Type: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, scheduled hours to vary. Position may include on-call schedule as well.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Driver's license
  • 4 + years experience is required
  • Knowledge of fire and building codes, OSHA, and other regulations pertaining to the job
  • Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and alarm panels
  • Basic computer and software skills
  • The ability to operate a motor vehicle, to visit job sites, customers, and suppliers
  • The ability to move about in areas with limited space and difficult access
  • Backflow repair and testing is desired, but State Fire will train and license the right individual
  • The ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing to superiors, subordinates, suppliers, and customers

Physical requirements of this job may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb (stairs/ladders/scaffolding), stoop, kneel, crouch, or balance
  • Frequently required to lift, transport and place objects up to 70lbs. without assistance
  • Ability to move about in areas with limited space and difficult access
  • Ability to use hand tools, saws, pipe cutters, etc.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors
  • Prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer

Description:

 State Fire is currently looking to hire qualified Fire Sprinkler Fitter in Elko, NV.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems in accordance with local and national codes and regulations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
  • Inspect and test fire sprinkler systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects and engineers, to ensure proper installation and functionality of fire sprinkler systems
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members
