Requirements:

 

What You Need:

  • RME-I and Backflow licenses (required).
  • Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, fire/building codes, and OSHA regulations (MSHA preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Availability for on-call work when needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.
  • Work in tight spaces and various environments (indoors and outdoors).
  • Lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Operate a motor vehicle safely.

Description:

State Fire is a leading fire protection provider, specializing in fire sprinkler systems, alarms, suppression systems, and security solutions. We’re looking for a Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team in San Antonio, TX. If you have experience with fire sprinkler systems and hold RME-I and Backflow licenses, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Inspect fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with NFPA, state, and local codes.
  • Check sprinkler heads, pipes, valves, and alarms for proper function.
  • Perform system tests, including water flow, pressure, and alarm functionality.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to keep systems operating safely.
  • Travel within the region (overnights may be required).
$28-$38 per hour, depending on experience
