Qualifications:


· 8+ years in the fire sprinkler industry and minimum 5 years service manager experience required.

· Possess any applicable state licensing.

· Knowledge of fire and building codes, OSHA, and other regulations pertaining to the job. MSHA preferred.

· Basic computer and software skills.

· Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record.

· Must have and maintain an acceptable national criminal background check.

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment urinalysis test.

· Ability to communicate effectively in English.

· Ability to work flexible hours and on-call, when necessary.


Physical Requirements:


· Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch or stoop for prolonged periods.

· Ability to operate a motor vehicle.

· Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and stairs.

· Ability to move about in areas with limited space and difficult access.

· Ability to safely lift, transport and place objects up to 70 pounds, without assistance.

· Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.

· Ability to use trade-specific power tools such as hand tools, saws, pipe cutters, etc.

State Fire is currently looking for a full-time Fire Sprinkler Service Manager/Field Superintendent in Coeur d’Alene and surrounding areas. Ideal candidates have 8+ years experience in the fire sprinkler industry.

Your role as a Fire Sprinkler Service Manager/Field Superindendent will include the following responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee and manage daily field operations for service, inspection, and small project work related to fire sprinkler systems
  • Supervise, schedule, and support field technicians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship
  • Coordinate service calls, inspections, repairs, and emergency response with customers and internal staff
  • Review project scopes, plans, and specifications to ensure work is executed correctly and in compliance
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes and standards (NFPA, local AHJ requirements, OSHA safety regulations)
  • Conduct field visits, jobsite inspections, and quality control checks to maintain company standards
  • Troubleshoot complex fire sprinkler system issues and provide technical guidance to field personnel
  • Manage manpower planning, job scheduling, and resource allocation to meet deadlines and budgets
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding service work, scheduling, and issue resolution
  • Prepare and review service reports, deficiency reports, and documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in estimating, quoting, and scoping service and repair work when needed
  • Monitor job costs, labor hours, and productivity to ensure profitability of service operations
  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure all field personnel follow proper safety procedures
  • Mentor, train, and develop technicians, including apprentices and new hires
  • Coordinate with office staff, project managers, and inspectors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained, stocked, and utilized
  • Support inspections, testing, and maintenance programs, including annual and 5-year inspections
  • Respond to urgent service needs and be available for after-hours or emergency situations as required
